Rattle the Boards are a group of fine musicians based in Waterford and South Tipperary in Ireland. They met in 1992 and have played to thousands of music lovers since. In 1994 Benny, Pat and John were featured on a recording of a ceili band they played with called "The Knocknagow Ceili Band" In 1995 Benny founded the Internantional renowned band "Danu" and made music his fulltime career. In 1998 Rattle The Boards debut record simply entitled "Rattle The Boards" was released. This recording received much deserved applause from critics who found the organic and natural feel of the record refreshing. Rattle the boards have performed many concerts and Fleadh Ceoils in Ireland over the years and also to audiences in The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. The Irish Times newspaper said "Rattle the boards are playing tunes familiar to many parishes, but with a bit fire under them" In 2003 their music helped inspire the hugely successful Des Dillon theatre production "Teac A Bloc" in which all the music is performed by Rattle The Boards. They appeared on Irelands No.1 television chat show "The Late Late Show" in December 2003 with two sketches from Teac A Bloc and since have enjoyed sold out performances throughout Ireland. In March 2008 Rattle the boards have released a new album "The Parish Platform" featuring many special guests including Jon Kenny,Donnchadh Gough and many others. Beside all their achievements todate their priority still remains to enjoy playing music.
