Naes met Dave thru a City Paper ad. They put out a 7". Dave struck out on his own in 1996, eventually released his own CD. After not making music for 10 years, Naes bought some bongos, and the ensuing jams demanded one more piece be added...Doug was forced to pick up the cello! A first round of material was demoed and padded out with occasional guest visits from Bill C & the Bees bassist Steve Garland on glockenspiel and Scareoffagoose (not his real name!) on guitar & dumbek. Band gigs at Warehouse Next Door (DC), Sangha (Takoma Park MD), Electric Possible (DC) & Nutstock fest (VA). Shortly before Thanksgiving 2007, the band entered Cue's Red Room with engineer Keith Burrell and laid down 4 songs in 6 & 1/2 hours.
