Artfully commanding cello, trombone and laptop, the Asian-American artist of Chinese and Japanese descent is breaking down artistic and cultural boundaries, collaborating, inventing, recording, touring and garnering critical acclaim along the way.

Dana's 4-piece ensemble, The Dana Leong Band, is a sonic and visual representation of his cutting edge, melting-pot artistic vision. From slow, lyrical and symphonic tunes to high-energy hip-hop tunes featuring rapper/MC Baba Israel, this electro-acoustic all-star foursome is quickly sweeping America off its feet. The band has been selected for The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad program, produced in conjunction with Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, designed to foster cultural exchange in areas with limited access to American music and culture. Throughout 2007-2008, The Dana Leong Band will tour all over Asia.
