David Wilson began playing the violin at an early age. When he reached the age of twelve his musical focus shifted and he began to learn to play the piano, guitar and trumpet. His musical interests at that time had turned to jazz, blues and folk music. He pursued these styles until the age of 31 when he again took up the violin and even took up residence in Hamburg, Germany. After several years of intense classical training he received a Masters degree in Performance. After again shifting to popular song, he found his audiences cherished his violin work and from that energy he poured his diverse musical experience into violin playing. He has a breezy casual style of violin music, replete with bursts of passion which soar and then descend into lyric melodic passages.
