Zhe Clampitt is very accomplished violinist. Zhe Clampitt has had many solo performances at local churches in Michigan, Massachusetts, and California; weddings; auctions fundraisers for Great Commission Air; and other fancy private events. In addition to her solo work she has also performed with, studied with, or been associated with a virtual who’s who in the world of Classical, Blues, and Jazz Music. In the classical arena she has performed with: Redford Civic Symphony, St. Claire Shores Symphony Orchestra, The Long Beach Symphony, The MIT Symphony, and MIT Chamber Music Society. She has studied with: Karen Briggs, Anida Margariti, John Harbison, Bayla Keyes, Marcus Thompson, Jean Rife, Martha Potter Kim, Joseph Taylor, Martin Marks, Elena Ruehr, Pamela Wood, Ellen Harris, and Lowell Lindgren. In the jazz and blues world she has performed with: Barbara Morrison, The Teddy Edwards Jazz Orchestra, Karen Briggs, Robert Penn, and Mark McGruder of Strait Time. She also enjoys a friendship with and has played a living room performance with the amazing jazz drummer and Los Angeles, California City treasure: Sonship Theus.
When not performing she teaches Violin Privately on the staff of Anderson’s Music Store located in Dearborn, Michigan. Zhe has been teaching privately for approximately 10 years.
She is also happily married to the love of her life, Chip Clampitt, and they have a beautiful 3-year-old daughter Zerlinda. Zhe Clampitt resides in Redford, Michigan and is a member of Kadesh Baptist Church Detroit, Michigan where she is a member of the worship band.
